Ras Abu Helal
This dive site is located just south of the Canyon and the entry is marked by a signboard. Ras abu Helal is best dived at high tide when the weather conditions are calm.
You descend in a sandy lagoon with a semi-circular shape at a depth between 7 and 12 metres. Keep the reef to the left and explore the coral garden. The western wall descends to a depth of 30 metres, where you may discover a small canyon – do not explore this canyon without proper training and orientation, it is considered dangerous as once you enter it is difficult to turn around and other exits are small.
Remain on the rich coral garden which extends into a second immersed lagoon with a sandy bottom, from which you can exit the dive site.
